Installation¶
Installation of the modules consists of several steps:
- Selection of the required component
- Preparing the metadata file.
- Importing the metadata file into DHIS2.
- Configuring the imported metadata.
- Adapting the program after being imported
It is recommended to first read through each section of the installation guide before starting the installation and configuration process in DHIS2. Identify applicable sections depending on the type of your import:
- Import into a blank DHIS2 instance
- Import into a DHIS2 instance with existing metadata (eg. IDS or VPD packages).
The steps outlined in this document should be tested in a test/staging DHIS2 instance and only then applied to a production environment.
Requirements¶
In order to install the module, a DHIS2 administrator user account is required.
Great care should be taken to ensure that the server itself and the DHIS2 application are well secured, access rights to collected data should be defined. Details on securing a DHIS2 system are outside the scope of this document, and we refer to the DHIS2 documentation.
Metadata files¶
The metadata reference and metadata json files provide technical details on package version and content. While not always necessary, it can often required to make certain modifications to the metadata file before importing it into DHIS2.
Selection of required component¶
MPOX Surveillance Aggregate Package¶
The package contains: - 1 weekly data set - 6 data elements - 11 indicators - 1 preconfigured dashboard
It can be installed as a standalone package. The output data can be visualised on the included dashboard or integrated in other dashboards and reporting tools.
Some indicators will require population data in denominators. There are 2 ways to map utilise population data for the included indicators: 1. Total population data can be mapped to the included Generic data element 2. Implementer can replace denominator data elements with the ones present in the system.
MPOX Surveillance Dashboard package¶
The package contains: - 1 preconfigured dashboard - 11 indicators with placeholder numerators and denominators.
When installing this package, implementers will have to map existing data elements to the corresponding numerators and denominators of the included indicators.
MPOX Case Surveillance CRF tracker¶
This package contains metadata that is aligned with CRF reporting requirements. The package should be used together with the MPOX Surveillance Aggrgate package. Data from the CRF tracker needs to be aggregated with help of program indicators and populate data elements in the aggregate data set for further otput purposes. Current version of this package does not include any program indicators and aggregate data exchanges. These will be added as the requirements for data collection and data analysis get formalised.
MPOX Case Surveillance CRF tracker will be extended with additional metadata required for CIF reporting. Implementations will be able to use the tracker for both purposes and define access to the corresponding components on the level of User Group access.
It is also possible to use the tracker either for CRF or CIF reporting. The modular configuration of the tracker will allow the user to include or exclude unnecessary metadata objects.
